Independent Kitesurfing Gear Rentals:
ONLY for Confident Kitesurfers
Our kite center offers the latest kiteboarding gear of Eleveight kites, variety of twin-tip and surfboards and Mystic accessories for different sizes and needs. We rent kitesurfing equipment only to Mikri Vigla beach and only to confident riders. You can rent the complete equipment, just the board, the kite or any combination you need. We rent per session (1, 2 or 3 hours in a row), like this you have the maximum flexibility in terms of choosing suitable equipment.
Our center is located just next to the kite spot and additional kites are available at the beach. If the wind changes you can change your kite during your session. Petros, the owner of the center will be watching you while renting and he will assist you in case you need him. (launching or landing, changing kite etc). After your session the kitesurfing equipment must be packed with care and returned to the center. Please note that in case of breaking or damaging the equipment you will have to pay for the repairs. Renting from Naxoskitelife will enable you to enjoy your kite session with the latest gear, suited to your level and needs, in wind conditions from 12 to 30 knots.
Prerequisites for renting equipment
For renting equipment you have to have at least level C6 – turning and keeping the upwind (see more about levels) and be experienced in choppy and gusty wind conditions. You need to agree with our rental terms. In the beginning of your first session you will need to pass a kiteboarding rental check, where you have to demonstrate your ability to ride upwind, bodydrag upwind and safely navigate between other kiters. The rental check takes about 10 minutes and is counted in your rental time, but otherwise free. The customer must pay for the kiteboarding rental session beforehand, but if the check is failed the money will be returned except for 20€ that we keep for the check. Those who need to improve to meet the requirements of the rental check can always get some kitesurfing rental supervision from our team by contacting us. Being an excellent swimmer is a must in Mikri Vigla as the water is deep.
During the kiteboarding rental check you need to:
• Demonstrate your knowledge of the priority rules (ROW rules)
• Set up and launch the kite correctly
• Have full control while walking on the beach with the kite and board
• Bodydrag upwind (without the kiteboard)
• Ride and stay upwind (exit more upwind from where you entered)
• Handle the kitesurfing equipment with care and keep safe distance from hazards
Independent Rental Prices:

Equipment included in complete gear rental:

* You can change the twintip kiteboard for a surfboard for an extra fee of 10€/session
Important information about rentals
• Kitesurfing rentals are possible only with wind blowing from the NORTH (N, NNE, NNW or NW).
• We rent gear ONLY for Mikri Vigla bay. You cannot take the gear to other kite spots.
• A break during your rental will be included in the rental time. If you wish to take a longer break and not get charged for this time, you have to return the equipment for the duration of your break and later start a new session. For example if you wish to rent full gear from 9AM til 11AM and then from 2PM til 4PM, the total price for your 4h of rental will be 120€ (55+20+25+20).
• The kiteboarding rental session begins when the kiteboarding equipment is taken from the kite center and ends when the equipment is returned to the kite center. For example, if you begin a 2h kitesurf rental session at 13:00 you should return the equipment by 15:00.
• Gear rented for the whole day must be returned to the kite center at least by 20:00.
• You can change the twintip kiteboard for a kitesurfing surfboard for an extra fee of 10€/session.
• The full price of your session needs to be paid in advance, if your session turns out to be shorter than planned, we will refund the difference.
• Book your rental in advance to make sure we have availability. No prepayment is needed.
• If weather conditions are not appropriate we may cancel the rental session.
• For renting kite gear from Naxoskitelife, you have to accept our rental terms (see below).
For parents with young children: Kitesurfing intro
If your children are too young to start a kitesurfing course, but eager to see how is it, we offer an option for you to demonstrate flying a 2-lined trainer kite, that has little power, but helps to discover the wind window.
